Day 7: Waterside Wanderers

Today was an extraordinary adventure exploring the Okavango Delta by mokoro canoe. The weather was perfect, with sunny skies and a gentle breeze, setting the stage for a tranquil yet exhilarating experience.

As I boarded the traditional dugout canoe, I felt a sense of anticipation and excitement. The guide expertly navigated the winding waterways and I was immediately captivated by the serene beauty of the delta. The clear water reflected the blue sky and lush greenery that surrounded us.

Throughout the trip we encountered a variety of wildlife. I was thrilled to see elephants drinking at the water's edge, hippos lounging in the shallows, and crocodiles basking in the sun. The diverse bird life was equally fascinating, with colorful species flying overhead and perched on the reeds.

The peacefulness of gliding through the water, surrounded by nature's symphony, was deeply inspiring. I took several moments to sketch the scenes, trying to capture the essence of the Delta's unique ecosystem.

As the day drew to a close, I felt a deep connection to this remarkable place. The beauty and tranquility of the Okavango Delta left a lasting impression on me, filling me with gratitude and creative inspiration.

Maun has provided me with a day of unforgettable experiences and I look forward to translating today's adventure into my next piece of art.
