Day 97: Silhouettes in Sunlight

Today, I visited the Nasir al-Mulk Mosque in Shiraz's historical city center, and I felt surrounded by a multitude of colors. When the sun shone through the famous stained glass windows, it created a spectrum of light that seemed like a work of art.

The mosque came to life with each ray of light, and cold stone transformed into warm shades of pink, blue, and green. It was as if I had stepped into a living, breathing painting. The detailed shapes and patterns on the windows showed Persian architecture's complexity.

I readied my painting materials, catching the temporary movements of light and color on my canvas. Each brushstroke was hard to match the mosque's beauty, an exciting challenge. The mosque was not just a worship site, but a display of history and art.

Chatting with local visitors improved the overall experience. Their respect for the site and its attractiveness was evident, increasing my comprehension of this impressive architecture.

As the day progressed, the changing light continued to modify the mosque, providing a fresh outlook hourly. Shiraz has been full of surprises, and the Nasir al-Mulk Mosque is undoubtedly the most prized gem.

Today wasn't only about painting or sightseeing, it was about experiencing the beauty that often goes unnoticed in our fast-paced world- the fluidity and transience of it.
