Women of Iran - Protest Injustice (2022)

"Protest Injustice" is a sad but powerful piece from the Women of Iran Art Series. Created in solidarity with the brave schoolgirls of Iran who lost their lives protesting the mandatory wearing of the hijab, this piece pays tribute to these courageous young women. During the protests, many Iranian women cut their hair, a traditional and poignant form of protest. It is also a ceremony of mourning, revealing the depth of suffering at the loss of a loved one.
