Day 30: Rain-Kissed Solitude
Share
The day began with the soft patter of rain on my window, a gentle reminder that not every day has to be filled with sunshine. I decided to embrace the weather and visit the Curepipe Botanical Gardens. The rain brought a sense of calm and enhanced the greenery around me. The gardens felt alive in a way that only rain can bring - leaves glistened with droplets and the scent of wet earth filled the air.
I wandered the paths, stopping to admire the variety of tropical plants. The orchids were especially stunning, their bright colors standing out against the gray sky. I found a covered bench and sat for a while, sketching the scene before me. The rain fell steadily, a soothing backdrop to the rustling of the leaves.
The tranquility of the gardens provided a perfect space for reflection. There was a certain stillness I needed today-a break from the usual pace of travel. As I sketched, I felt a connection to the environment, a simple yet profound appreciation for the beauty that exists in moments of solitude.
Returning to my room, I feel a sense of satisfaction. Today was about embracing the silence, finding peace in the rain, and allowing myself to simply be.
