84 days: Adem Hadžić

As I wandered through the labyrinthine streets of Baščaršija under the gentle sun, I was captivated by the symphony of sights, sounds, and scents. The cobblestone paths told tales of centuries. They led me to Adem Hadžić, a local craftsman renowned for his copper work. Adem, with skilled hands and a warm smile, shared the story of his craft passed down through generations. In his small workshop, he spoke of Sarajevo's resilience. The city's endurance of traditions against the backdrop of a tumultuous history was mirrored. Our conversation wove a thread of connection between past and present, craftsman and artist. He showed me the meticulous process of creating traditional coffee sets. Each piece was a testament to the city's enduring spirit. After leaving Adem's workshop, I felt a stronger connection to Sarajevo. The city, like its copper, shines with a resilience forged in the fires of history. I also acquired a small, intricately designed copper plate.
