82 days: Sheltered in Stillness

Today was filled with quiet contemplation. The rain provided a soft backdrop as I made my way to Pier-2 Art Center. The contemporary art exhibits sparked something in me-there was an experimental edge to the work that resonated deeply. I spent hours just walking through the rooms, admiring how local artists were expressing their stories through such diverse mediums.

The rain pattering against the windows added to the atmosphere, creating a sense of being cocooned in a creative world. I found a corner to sit and sketch while observing the installations around me, capturing fleeting impressions of color, form, and movement. Each stroke felt like a response to the energy of the art around me.

Later, I walked into a small cafe nearby, ordered a cup of hot tea, and continued sketching as the rain fell gently. There's something peaceful about watching the world outside while you sit inside, warm and content. Kaohsiung's creative pulse is more subtle, but today I feel like I caught a glimpse of its rhythm.

It was a quiet but fulfilling day, and I look forward to seeing more of what this city has to offer tomorrow.
