Day 161: Ruined Tapestry

Today I visited the Amman Citadel and spent a day immersed in the ancient history of this remarkable site. The warm, sunny weather and gentle breeze provided an ideal atmosphere for exploring the layered ruins and archaeological remains that dominate the Citadel. As I walked along the stone paths, I marveled at the remnants of past civilizations and the panoramic view of the modern city below. I took several moments to pause and sketch the intricate details of the ancient structures, capturing the textures and fading inscriptions on the weathered walls. The experience was both reflective and inspiring, offering me new perspectives on the passage of time and Jordan's deep cultural heritage. This encounter with history not only enriched my understanding of the region, but also sparked creative ideas for my upcoming artwork. Overall, the day was a harmonious blend of historical exploration and creative rejuvenation.
