Day 167: Patterns in Sculpted Silence

I spent much of my day at the Museum of Islamic Art, a building that caught my eye even before I stepped inside. Its geometric exterior was matched by an equally impressive interior, complete with soaring ceilings and immaculate galleries. Each exhibit offered a glimpse into a different cultural sphere, from intricately patterned carpets to delicate glasswork.
As I walked through each section, I paused to take in the balance of color and form. It was fascinating to see how different regions interpreted similar themes, yet each artifact felt distinct. The spacious halls were both modern and traditional, reminding me of how design can bridge eras.
Afterwards, I found a quiet spot by a large window overlooking the water. The skyline outside felt almost like another work of art. I made a few quick sketches, then stayed for a while to soak up the serene atmosphere. It was a day of aesthetic discovery that left me feeling inspired and grateful.
