Day 31: Garden Stillness
Share
Today was a day of quiet contemplation. The morning began with a visit to the Balfour Garden, where the serenity of the greenery offered a peaceful retreat. The gentle rustling of leaves in the breeze and the soft light filtering through the clouds created a soothing atmosphere, perfect for sketching.
I found a secluded bench near a small pond and let the serenity of the surroundings guide my hand. The flowing lines of the trees, the gentle ripples on the water, and the occasional passing bird became my subjects. It was a meditative experience, each stroke of the pen connecting me more deeply to the nature around me.
As the day progressed, I wandered through the garden, absorbing the sights and sounds. The simplicity of the day was a welcome contrast to the bustling energy of the previous days. It was as if the garden was a small sanctuary where time slowed down, allowing me to catch my breath and reconnect with my thoughts.
In the evening I returned to my room, satisfied with the sketches I had made. Today wasn't about great discoveries or intense experiences; it was about finding peace in the everyday, in the silence of a quiet garden. Sometimes that's all you need.
