After a quick breakfast, I made my way to the Barbados Museum & Historical Society, tucked away in a historic military building. The museum's exhibits were a treasure trove of stories, from the island's colonial past to its cultural evolution.
Each room revealed a new facet of Barbadian history - the vibrant displays of traditional crafts, the artifacts of plantation life, and the intricate maps charting the island's transformation over the centuries. The museum's architecture, with its arched windows and stone walls, added to the sense of immersion.
