Fourth Journey Day 95: Threads of the Andes

Today began with a sense of quiet anticipation as I took the cable car up to Cerro San Bernardo. The ascent was smooth, with breathtaking views of the city below, framed by the lush green hills that stretched to the horizon. From the top, Salta revealed itself in layers of terra cotta roofs, winding streets, and the distant silhouette of the Andes.
The light breeze brought a crisp freshness, and I spent a while just taking in the panoramic view. The colors of the landscape were so vibrant - the deep green of the trees, the dusty beige of the roads, and the clear blue of the sky. It felt like nature itself was inviting us to stop and be still.
After descending, I walked through a nearby market where local artisans were displaying their crafts. The textiles, vibrant and intricate, told stories of the region's heritage. A small woven bracelet caught my eye - a humble yet beautiful reminder of that day.
Returning to my lodging, I felt a deep sense of serenity. The moments on Cerro San Bernardo and the energy of the market stayed with me. Tonight I plan to sketch the interplay of light and shadow on the hills, a scene that left an indelible impression on my mind.
