60 days: The Quiet Gatherer

Today was a day well spent in the green tea gardens of Sylhet. I decided to visit the Lakkatura Tea Garden, just on the outskirts of the city. The drive itself was a prelude to the beauty that awaited me - rolling hills covered with endless rows of neatly trimmed tea bushes stretching far into the horizon.

Upon arrival, a guide took me through the history of the estate, explaining the process from leaf to cup. The air was filled with the earthy scent of tea leaves, and I was drawn to the simplicity and rhythm of the pluckers at work. Their hands moved deftly, and I could hear their laughter in the distance, mingling with the soft rustle of the leaves in the breeze.

I spent time sketching, trying to capture the fluid movement of the workers against the backdrop of the green hillsides. There was a serenity in the repetition, a quiet persistence that felt almost meditative.

As the sun set, casting golden hues over the garden, I felt a deep sense of calm. Today I found peace in the gentle rhythm of nature, and I am grateful for this moment of silence.
