Day 153: Afloat in Layers

Today, I embraced the serene beauty of Ohrid with a traditional boat ride on Lake Ohrid. The gentle breeze and clear, sunny skies created a serene atmosphere that perfectly complemented the calm waters. As the boat glided across the lake, I took in the sweeping views of the surrounding mountains and historic shoreline. I found inspiration in the rhythmic movement of the water and the subtle play of light on its surface, capturing fleeting moments in my mind that I plan to translate into my next piece of art.

The experience allowed me to reflect on the harmonious blend of nature and history here, as ancient buildings and traditional boats floated gracefully against the backdrop of a timeless landscape. I made a few sketches during the ride, noting the subtle details of the texture of the water and the interplay of shadows along the shore.
