Day 27: A Kaleidoscope of Reverence
Share
This morning I ventured to the Cathedral of San Miguel, a towering structure that dominates the city's skyline. As I approached, the bright white facade gleamed against the azure sky, an awe-inspiring sight. The intricate carvings along the arched windows and doorways immediately caught my attention, their symmetry and detail a testament to the skill of the craftsmen who built it.
Inside, the atmosphere shifted to one of quiet awe. Light filtered through the stained glass windows, casting a kaleidoscope of colors on the marble floor. I found a corner to sit and sketch, losing track of time as I tried to capture the interplay of light and shadow.
Outside, the bustling piazza contrasted sharply with the serenity of the cathedral. Street vendors called out to passersby, selling everything from sweet snacks to handmade jewelry. I lingered for a while, observing and taking notes, before returning to my room.
The day left me with a sense of balance-between the grand, spiritual energy of the cathedral and the lively, human rhythm of the plaza. Tonight I'll sort through my sketches and thoughts, ready to channel them into tomorrow's artwork.
