Fourth Journey Day 35: Corridors of Wind and Stone

The Castillo de San Pedro de la Roca left an indelible impression on me today. Towering over the shimmering bay, the fortress exuded a quiet strength, a testament to centuries past. The intricate stonework, weathered by time, stood firm against the azure sky, while the view from the ramparts was nothing short of breathtaking. The sea stretched endlessly, its rhythm soothing and steady.

Walking through its corridors, I traced my hand along the cool walls, imagining the lives that once moved through these spaces. A guide told tales of struggle and resilience, breathing life into the silent stones. I found a quiet spot overlooking the waves and sketched, capturing the fortress against a backdrop of rolling hills and shimmering water.

The simplicity of the breeze, the warmth of the sun, and the majesty of the castle awakened a deep sense of connection. Here, history and nature intertwined effortlessly, reminding me of the enduring balance between the two. As the day drew to a close, I returned to my room with a mind full of ideas for tomorrow's painting.
