Fourth Journey Day 76: Laughter by the Pool
The day began with a vibrant glow as the sun rose over Boa Vista, casting its warmth over the city. I decided to visit Praça das Águas, drawn by its promise of tranquility and beauty. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the soft sound of cascading water, harmonizing with the chatter of families and the rustling of trees. The fountains sparkled in the sunlight, creating mesmerizing reflections that danced on the surface.
As I walked along the paths, the sculptures and intricate details of the park caught my attention. I paused at a tranquil pool and sketched its surroundings, trying to capture the way the sunlight fractured on the water. Children played nearby, their laughter adding life to the stillness.
I spent some time observing the native plants that lined the edges of the plaza, noting their shapes and textures for future inspiration. The atmosphere felt like a gentle embrace, a moment to breathe and just be.
By the time I left, the sky had begun its transformation into shades of orange and gold. The memory of the fountains and the warmth of the day stayed with me as I returned to reflect on how water and light create magic in the everyday.
