41 days: Citadel Reverie
Aktie
Today I immersed myself in the aromatic world of spices at a local plantation. The experience was like no other. As I walked through the fields, the air was filled with the rich scent of cloves, vanilla, and ylang-ylang. The plantation was alive with vibrant colors-the deep green of the leaves, the soft yellow of the vanilla orchids, and the dark, almost black pods of the cloves. I spent some time talking to the workers, learning about their processes and understanding the delicate balance required to grow these precious crops.
What struck me most was the harmony between nature and tradition. The workers, with their practiced hands, moved with a rhythm that seemed almost choreographed. There was a quiet respect for the land, a deep understanding of the plants they tended every day. I tried to capture this in a few quick sketches, focusing on the workers' hands and the intricate patterns of the plants.
As the day drew to a close, I felt a deep connection to this place. The spice plantation, with its rich history and vibrant life, offered a peaceful yet inspiring retreat. I'm excited to see how today's experience will inform my work tomorrow.
