57 days: Rooted Silence
Aktie
Today I visited the Maya Devi Temple, the holy place where Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha, was born. As I walked along the tree-lined path leading to the temple, I could feel the warm sun on my skin and the gentle breeze that brought a sense of calm. The temple grounds were quiet, filled with pilgrims and visitors from around the world, each finding their own peace in this spiritual place.
The ancient ruins surrounding the temple held stories of devotion and history. I stood under the Bodhi tree, its broad leaves casting mottled shadows on the ground, and watched as people tied prayer flags to its branches, their colors vibrant against the clear sky.
Inside the temple, I sat for a moment in silent contemplation, feeling the energy of the space around me. The stillness was profound, the atmosphere rich with reverence and reflection. I felt a deep connection to the past and to all those who have walked this path before.
As I left the temple I felt lighter, as if I had absorbed some of the serenity of this place. It was a day of quiet reflection and inspiration, a day that has left its mark on me. I look forward to translating these feelings into my next piece of art.
