63 days: Laughter in the Breeze

Today's hike to Chimi Lhakhang was an experience that combined peace with a touch of whimsy. The trail wound through fields of ripening rice, its golden stalks swaying gently in the breeze. I passed simple village houses, each with its own little story painted on the walls or carved into the wood. The sound of children's laughter filled the air, mingled with the occasional bleat of a goat or the crowing of a rooster.

When I reached the temple, I felt a strange mixture of serenity and playful energy. Dedicated to the "Divine Madman," the temple was unlike any place I'd visited before. Vibrant prayer flags flapped in the wind, and the walls were decorated with colorful, unconventional murals. The energy was light-hearted yet deeply spiritual.

I spent time sketching the intricate designs and whimsical symbols of fertility that adorned the temple grounds. There was something joyful in the simplicity and humor of it all. As I sat in the courtyard, I felt a sense of quiet satisfaction, as if I were on the verge of understanding something profound and yet delightfully simple.

When I returned, I took a moment at the river to let the still waters wash over my thoughts. Another day, another layer added to the canvas of this journey.
