71 days: Sketches of a Dreamer: Niran
Aktie
Today I visited Wat Rong Suea Ten, the Blue Temple, and was immediately captivated by the surreal blues and golds that filled the room. The temple felt like a place from another world, serene yet full of vibrant life. As I wandered inside, I met a Thai artist named Niran who was quietly sketching in a corner, his hands moving quickly across the paper, capturing the intricate details of the temple's architecture.
We spoke briefly. Niran shared that he often comes here to find inspiration for his own work, drawn to the fluidity and vibrant colors of the murals. He showed me some of his sketches, which were beautiful interpretations of the temple's features, but with a distinctly personal flair. He spoke of his dream to one day create his own version of a modern temple, blending traditional Thai elements with contemporary art styles.
I found his passion contagious, and we exchanged thoughts about art, culture, and finding creativity in unexpected places. It was a brief but meaningful connection, one that reminded me of the myriad ways art can speak across borders and languages. As the day ended, I left with a sense of calm, having found both beauty and inspiration in the unexpected.
