Day 14: The Silent Watcher

Today I walked through La Candelaria, a neighborhood full of life and color. Buildings with bright facades and ornate doors rose up on either side of narrow, winding streets. Every turn offered a new discovery: a vibrant mural, a quaint cafe, or a street musician playing for passersby.

I spent much of the morning sketching sections of a sprawling mural, its shapes and colors blending indigenous symbols with modern motifs. It seemed to speak to both Bogotá's history and its future, fusing past and present into a compelling visual story.

I stopped at a small cafe, where I warmed myself with a local coffee, its rich aroma mingling with the cool breeze coming through the open window. From my seat, I watched the hustle and bustle outside - students with backpacks, vendors selling woven bracelets, and tourists capturing the charm of the old city.

As evening fell, the light softened over the cobblestones, casting long shadows. La Candelaria felt timeless, a place where history and contemporary culture coexist.
