Day 26: Shadows in Spectrum

Today I finally got to step inside the Santa Ana Cathedral, and it was every bit as impressive as I'd hoped. From the outside, the neo-Gothic facade, with its intricate arches and pointed spires, seems almost otherworldly against the bright blue sky. Inside, I was drawn to the vast stained glass windows that cast vibrant colors across the walls, changing hues as the sun moved through the day. The silence was broken only by the soft murmur of visitors and the occasional rustle of footsteps, all respectful of the serene atmosphere.

The colors and designs in the cathedral felt timeless, and I found myself sketching ideas on the spot - particularly inspired by the mix of cool shadows and vibrant stained glass light. I made quick pencil marks to capture the play of light and texture. Somehow, the contrast between delicate glass and solid stone seemed to symbolize something deeper, perhaps the resilience and beauty embedded in this place.

I ended the day in Parque Libertad, watching the locals gather as the sky softened into dusk, already thinking of ways to weave these new impressions into tomorrow's work.
