第四次旅程 第23天:生命市集

Today I walked through the San Pedro Sula Museum of Anthropology and History, and the experience was more thought-provoking than I expected. The exhibits traced the evolution of life here, from early indigenous cultures to modern life. The displays were well curated and showed an admirable mix of artifacts - ancient pottery, tools, and even intricate textiles.

One gallery focused on the Garífuna and Miskito communities, where the vibrant woven textiles caught my attention. It was humbling to see how ancient practices still influence daily life here. Their history, so interwoven with nature and survival, had a strength that I found inspiring.

After the museum, I walked through the Mercado Guamilito, soaking up the bustling atmosphere and colors of handmade bags, wooden carvings, and vibrant food stalls. The market felt like a living mosaic, each stall a work of art in its own right, alive with texture and sound.

I ended the day with coffee at a small cafe nearby, letting the layers of this city settle into my mind. Tomorrow I hope to transform these impressions into something tangible on my canvas.
