53 days: Veins of Time

Today was a day of walking through history. I made my way to the Ayutthaya Historical Park, where the ancient ruins and temples tell the story of a bygone era. The partly cloudy sky provided just the right amount of protection from the sun, making exploration comfortable and allowing me to focus on the incredible sights around me.

The towering spires of the temples, some still standing and others in ruins, were awe-inspiring. I was particularly drawn to Wat Mahathat, where the famous Buddha's head entwined in the roots of a bodhi tree left a lasting impression. The quiet reverence of the place, combined with the gentle breeze, created a peaceful atmosphere that felt timeless.

As I walked through the park, I couldn't help but imagine what life must have been like during Ayutthaya's golden age. The scale of the ruins, the intricate carvings, and the sheer beauty of the ancient architecture left me feeling both humbled and inspired.

As I returned to my accommodation, I felt a deep connection to the history of this place. Today has been a day of reflection and quiet discovery, and I look forward to capturing the essence of what I've seen in my next piece of art.
