Day 23: Turtle's Journey

Today was a beautiful day in Mombasa. The weather was perfect with the sun shining brightly and a few clouds dotting the sky. I decided to explore the Mombasa Marine National Park. The marine park was a vibrant spectacle of underwater life. The clarity of the water allowed me to see the colorful coral reefs and various species of fish up close.

I started the day with a glass-bottom boat tour, which provided a fascinating view of the marine ecosystem below. The guide was knowledgeable and explained the different types of coral and marine life we saw. The highlight was spotting a sea turtle swimming gracefully by, a moment of pure wonder.

After the boat tour, I spent some time on the beach soaking up the tranquil atmosphere. The gentle waves and warm sand between my toes were incredibly relaxing. I took out my sketchbook and captured the essence of the marine park, the play of sunlight on the water, and the diverse marine life.

The experience was both serene and inspiring, offering a deep connection with nature. It was a day well spent and I look forward to translating these vibrant underwater scenes into my next piece of art.

Tomorrow I will continue my journey, eager to discover more of what Kenya has to offer.
